Principal Update

Parents,

We had so much fun seeing our students this week.  The Welcome Walk was a ton of fun and we loved having everyone back in the building today for the Supply Drop Off.  Our students are set, classrooms are ready and we can’t wait to kick off the 2015-2016 school year on Tuesday, August 25th.  Thank you PTA for all of your hard work with school supplies!  Thank you parents for joining PTA, signing up to volunteer and getting lunch accounts ready to go.

Campus News

NEWS FROM THE CAFETERIA: BREAKFAST!
Canyon Creek and Spicewood join 31 other Round Rock ISD Elementary schools in offering student breakfast service!  The added student breakfast service will offer access to a healthy breakfast.  We hope you will take advantage of this service.  Breakfast service will begin at 7:20 a.m. and conclude at 7:45 a.m.  The paid meal prices are listed below:

Elementary Breakfast: $1.35
Elementary Lunch: $2.50
Adult Breakfast: $2.25
Adult Lunch: $3.30

During the first week of school - August 25 thru August 28 - breakfast will be served FREE to students at Canyon Creek!  Students can choose between a hot breakfast entree or select a whole grain cereal with a side of low fat yogurt, whole grain toast or skim string cheese.  All breakfast meals include fresh fruit and milk.  

You may pay online at www.MySchoolBucks.com (transaction fee applies). You may apply for Free & Reduced Meals online at  http://roundrockisd.schoollunchapp.com.

ONLINE ENROLLMENT
Round Rock ISD is launching its new online enrollment system, giving parents the option to enroll returning students online.  The new system, InfoSnap, offers a simple and time saving option for online enrollment.  A unique snapcode for each student was mailed to returning families this month.  You must have the specific code to register.  Parents can visit https://roundrockisd.org/enroll/ to access the system.  

If your child is new to Round Rock ISD you will receive paper copies of the enrollment forms in the First Day Packet which are to be filled out at home and returned to the campus.  If you have questions, please contact our campus Registrar, Cynthia Quesnel.  

FIRST DAY DISMISSAL INFORMATION
All walkers, bike riders, and students whose parents meet them outside of the school will be directed to exit the school building through the front door.  Please make plans to meet your child, accordingly.  We will only allow students whose parents are driving through the car lines to exit the school through the side doors of the school.  This tremendously helps with congestion in car line areas and provides a safer waiting location for car riding students.  If you plan to meet your child outside of the school building, we ask that you plan a location that doesn’t interfere with the car lines.  

With so many students exiting the building through the front entrance/exit, we are asking parents to avoid parking in the front lot, if possible.  Anyone who parks in the front lot during dismissal will be asked to wait to move from their spot until after dismissal is complete.  This will ensure the safety of our students, staff and parents. Keep in mind, a few of these spots are reserved parking.
